I have Secondary Progressive MS and have lived with the disease for twenty seven years. I have been under the care of a physician and neurologist for the past thirteen years. About Me

My name is Gerry Peters.

gerry1I have been delighted to have a wonderful marriage, two incredible daughters and five grandchildren.  Oh yes, there are two son-in-laws that I must acknowledge….hey guys.

God’s call on my life was that of a pastor.  Since that day I have served in full time Christian Ministry for 30 years.  Other than spending 3 years as a Director with Trans Word Radio Canada, my life service has been that of a pastor.

I have also lived with Multiple Sclerosis since 1983.  On September 2006,  I took medical leave which evolved into permanent disability.  While I am somewhat confined to my favorite La-Z-Boy chair and garden, I live without any complaints; I am thankful for new opportunities to serve Christ.

God’s call on my life remains intact with the only change being that of an enlarged audience.

My Psalm 27 Network (myp27)

As you may have already guessed, myp27 stands for Psalm 27. You can claim it as your own (myp27). “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1Psalm 27:1
English: World English Bible - WEB

27 By David. 1 Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

During difficult days in my life at the hands of the Church of my final pastorate, much of my life was shaken to the core.  My Church, Denomination and colleagues were suddenly absent from my life.  It even seemed as though God had distanced himself.  I began to think carefully upon the core Truths of who God was and what I could confidently depend upon.  My search brought me to Psalm 27 and renewed confidence in God and His purpose for my life.
